An AI colleague that knows your business, and knows what it may not say

Colleague is an AI assistant that answers the repetitive questions a business is asked all day — on that business's own WhatsApp number, email address and telephone line, in whichever language the customer writes in. It answers from the facts the business has written down and from its live data, and it is configured per vertical: a hotel colleague answers about breakfast, check-out and in-room dining; a furnished rental's about getting in, the appliances and the bins; a restaurant's about hours, delivery and allergen policy; a developer's about the showroom and how buying works; a trade-show exhibitor's about finding the stand and booking a meeting. Each vertical also carries its own list of things the colleague may never say — rates, prices, refunds, confirmations, door codes, allergen guarantees — which are enforced in the software and handed to a member of staff instead.

Frequently asked questions

What is an AI colleague?

A named assistant that answers a business's customers on that business's own WhatsApp number, email address and telephone line. It answers from what the business has written down and from its live data, never from what is generally true of businesses like it, and it hands anything it is not permitted to answer to a member of staff.

Which kinds of business can use it?

Six are configured today: hotels, furnished rentals, restaurants, coworking spaces, real-estate developers and trade-show exhibitors. Each has its own vocabulary, its own checklist of what the colleague must know before it may answer anyone, and its own list of things it may never say. Coworking is configured but has no customer yet.

Will an AI assistant promise a customer something the business cannot deliver?

Each vertical has hard limits enforced in the software rather than requested of the model. A hotel colleague may never quote a room rate or confirm a booking; a restaurant one may never guarantee a dish is free of an allergen; a furnished-rental one may never give out a door code to anyone, including someone claiming to be the owner; a developer's may never quote a price or confirm that a unit is available. Anything covered by those limits is handed to a person instead of answered.

What happens when it does not know something?

It says so in the business's own words, files the question, and reports it back — rather than answering with what is usually true. Unanswered questions are collected so the fact sheet grows out of what customers actually ask.

Can it send messages without staff seeing them first?

Not by default. Every colleague starts on a setting where there is no send path at all: it drafts, and a person sends. Moving it to approve-and-send, or to answering on its own, is a deliberate decision the business makes and can reverse. Answering the telephone is a separate switch again, because a spoken reply cannot be read by a human first.

Can the business see what the colleague said to its customers?

Yes. The colleague is managed from a console inside the login the business already uses, which keeps every exchange: the customer's message, the reply, the channel it arrived on, whether it was sent or rejected, and which member of staff reviewed it. Drafts that were thrown away and questions the colleague refused are kept there too.

Does someone have to keep checking the console?

No. The colleague emails the business when it escalates something, again when a drafted reply has been waiting fifteen minutes, and once a week with the questions it could not answer, ranked by how often they were asked. Each of those is rate-limited, and the weekly digest sends nothing at all in a week where nothing new was asked.

Does it need to be connected to a PMS, CRM or booking system?

No. It reads the facts the business writes down, plus whatever live data that business already keeps on the platform, such as menus and order status. It does not touch rates, reservations or payment records in any other system.
